The BA (Hons) Photography degree course at Solent University, Southampton, are proud to show a selection of work from some of our graduating third-year students. The images are a small insight into the projects on which they have been working this year; they all originate with a passion and concern felt by student towards a topic. The work ranges from Covid-enforced isolations within a room to epic aerial landscapes, but all the work has had a shared background of being creatively produced against the background of the Covid-19 global pandemic.
BA (Hons) Photography at Solent University, Southampton, is a well-established course with consistently high levels of student satisfaction, achievement, and employability. The course team are experienced, committed practitioners and educators, with a real interest in the synergy between theory and practice, both creatively and pedagogically.
Our ethos is based upon supporting students to explore, and develop, their own distinct photographic vision – whilst also gaining creative, technical, and transferable skills required for a future career. Students are offered an excellent educational experience that is designed around their transition into Higher Education, embedding analogue and digital photographic skills, encouraging creative experimentation, and promoting professional outcomes. Students are taught, and develop their practice, in the bespoke photography facilities within the multi-million pound Media Academy at Solent University.
