Through The World Deserves Witnesses, we asked you to present us with work that documents the beauty and poetry of the world, and celebrates those captured pivotal moments of history, or the fragility of our human condition through your own sensitivity and unique view.

GOLD Winner - Danny Burrows: Mim with her daughters at the baptism spring, Sannerz, Germany

We are now delighted to announce that the Gold and Silver Winners of the AOP and Leica Open Project are;  

GOLD - Danny Burrows       Mim with her daughters at the baptism spring, Sannerz, Germany 
Danny's winning image is taken from a long-term project entitled TOGETHER (A)PART, which documents the anbaptist Christian Community of The Bruderhof. The project will be printed as a book by GOST in the spring of 2020 to coincide with the centenary of the community.

Jonny's photograph was also taken as part of a bigger long-term project documenting the lives of people who use the Ganges as a community hub for bathing, socialising and more.

Jason Heward, Managing Director – Leica Camera UK praised the number and calibre of entries received, commending the winner "... as someone who captured the sensitivity and intimacy of a moment.”
