AFFILIATE FOCUS: Cashflow Manager

We catch up with Affiliates Cashflow Manager who's aim is for people to spend less time on their books and more time developing their businesses, which is surely music to all our ears!  Taking the pain away with their specially developed accountancy software for small businesses, we find out more about their offering and what it is that makes them unique.

Who is this service for?

Cashflow Manager is ideal for anyone who is self-employed, a sole trader or small business. It’s extremely low cost, simple to use and means that your books are always ready to submit to HMRC or to your accountant. Our users vary from people who have run their small business for years, to people who are first starting out, and don’t want to be overwhelmed by a complicated, time-consuming solution. The less time spent on the books, the more time that can be spent developing a successful business! 

 

How are you different from other services?

We’re a small business ourselves, so we understand the pressures that our subscriber members face.  We can offer help via a phone call or email, as well as the information and guidance available on the website. And our solution can be used on and offline – so important for those of our users who still face unsatisfactory internet access and speeds in parts of the UK. We also link with Croner-i to make sure our members can always access the latest information on government and HMRC guidance, as well as general business support.

 

Where are you based and are your clients local or worldwide? 

Cashflow Manager UK was started in 1994 and our UK based business director is Stella Bowdell. Our parent company is Cashflow Manager Australia, based in sunny Adelaide. We have thousands of subscribers across Australia and the UK, and are proud of our heritage on both sides of the world. 

 

What's next for Cashflow Manager?

Our subscribers are the heart of our business, and with everyone facing challenging and unusual times, we want to support them as much as possible. We’re always working hard to increase the support and the value that comes with a Cashflow Manager subscription and over the next few months we’ll be adding new product features and making sure that our subscriber members have access to the information and tools that they need to develop their businesses.  

 

What advice would you give to photographers who would like to trial your services?

The HMRC’s Making Tax Digital initiative (known as MTD) means that from April 2022 all VAT registered businesses will have to submit their return digitally.  These rules will also apply for Income Tax Self-Assessment (ITSA) from April 2023, which means it applies to all unincorporated businesses with an annual income of over £10,000. 

 

This means that every quarter, all businesses paying income tax will need to submit their income and expenses to HMRC using software that is MTD-compatible.  As daunting as this may sound, having a system like Cashflow Manager in place will ensure that you are ready, and that things runs smoothly.  To help you get started on this transition, we’ve agreed with AOP that members can access our software with nothing to pay for the first 6 months.
