Gerhilde Skoberne’s portrait photographs are sparkling with the love of life, sometimes you think you can imagine or even “grasp” the vulnerable soul behind a face.”

Some of the faces are full of energy and verve, others, you sense, conceal a deep hurt. No shooting is like another. Gerhilde always finds new angles for each photograph and each shot in a series. All of this is a logical consequence of her working philosophy ”to give the people in front of the camera as much space as they need to react intuitively.” It doesn´t matter if the models are normal day-to-day people or high-class beauty-and fashion models.
Based in Frankfurt/Main, Germany, Gerhilde runs her own studio. With a wide range of experience also in international productions in Europe, the USA, Africa and Asia, Gerhilde loves to work with people.
She studied Visual Communications at the university and finished her studies with excellent examinations. She took on teaching positions at various Universities of Applied Sciences in Germany for many years. Some years ago she put teaching on hold to have more time for her own studies.
