Stephen Hyde specialises in travel, hotel, resort and spa photography.
Great-grandson of the eminent Victorian photographer P H Emerson, he started his career photographing celebrities (notably authors and playwrights) for book jackets and magazines.
His work has been featured in numerous exhibitions, notably Twenty for Today at the National Portrait Gallery in London (where many of his images are kept in their permanent collection).
Outside work, cricket, squash and skiing ensure that he wakes up aching and goes to sleep the moment his head touches the pillow.
