Kin Ho

Photographer Overview

Kin Ho is an advertising photographer based in the UK and Hong Kong, China, specialising in portrait, lifestyle and fashion.

His work is collected by two major London galleries. Alexander McQueen in the National Portraits Gallery, and Stephen Jones in the V&A Museum.

In 2020, Kin produced a series titled: ‘Isolation – Portraits From An Unsociable Distance,’ from which a portrait was archived by the International Centre of Photography, New York, as a global collection that documented the historical Covid-19 pandemic.

He has received various awards including the Nikon Photo Contest International, Agfa Portrait Photographer and finalist of the AOP Awards. Kin has also acted as an external examiner for photography degree courses, and volunteered for Help for Heroes teaching photography to recovering soldiers.

Kin has worked with a plethora of clients, including Dr. Martens, NHS, Barbour, HSBC, ELLE, Esquire, Oxford University, Asahi, and Glenfiddich.

Born in Hong Kong, at eight, Kin began learning Chinese watercolour with Master Liu Sihao, nurturing a love for art and an eye for detail. He left Hong Kong at 17 to study in England, eventually leading to an MA in Narrative Illustration and Editorial Design at the University of Brighton.
