The London Art Fair opened today and runs until Sunday 20 January. Photo50 is its annual showcase of contemporary photography and this year A Cyclical Poem curated by Nick Hackworth questions the nature of historical change.

AOP on the airwaves

This morning AOP President Simon Leach was invited by BBC Radio 4's You and Yours programme to comment on yesterday's news that high-street camera retailer Jessops has gone into administration.

In a package which included comment from reporter John Douglas and customers on the scene in the Jessops central Manchester store, Simon's live interview with main presenter Winifred Robinson gave some context to the problems Jessops has experienced.

Sunbeam shines on Photographers Awards

A selection of 28 images from the AOP Photographers Awards 2012 book is on display at Sunbeam Studios, London. The exhibition will be showcased until 11 February and includes work from Dylan Collard, Jeroen Hofman, Arjan Benning, Wendy Carrig, Darrin Jenkins, Rory Carnegie, Richard Allenby-Pratt, Mark Bramley, Nick Meek, Sam Robinson, James Bell, Adrian Lyon, Kai-Uwe Gundlach.
