"As the president of the Association of Photographers, I believe that the role of creativity has never been more vital. The UK’s creative sector is a world-leading centre of excellence, recognised for producing work that is inspiring, innovative and forward thinking. Since 2010, the sector has grown at almost twice the rate of the UK economy and as we emerge from lockdown, it is creativity that will play a crucial role in revitalising the economy, driving growth and supporting jobs across the UK. It is vital therefore that we remain committed to our creative industries, committed to powering innovation and job creation, and committed to building our global leadership position."

Tim Flach, AOP President & Tim Flach Photography Ltd

"Creativity is essential for innovation and to make our lives worthwhile. What a grey dystopian world it would be without photographers using their intelligence, skills and artistry to express beauty, human emotion and provoke reflection on what is happening in society. And let us not forget the £100 billion the creative industries bring to the UK economy, enriching the world both artistically and financially."

Anne Mannion, AOP Chair & Senior Associate at Swan Turton LLP

Picture a world without culture, a world without creativity. Research by The Creative Industries Federation has revealed that many of the UK’s creative organisations are still falling through the gaps in support from Government in response to the crisis.

Picture pages with no words on them. Picture stage-stars with nowhere to sing but the shower. Picture gallery walls lined with empty frames and blank canvases left unworked. Picture streets with no street-art. Picture billboards blank. Picture technology without technicolour. Our World Without creativity would be black and white.

The Creative Industries Federation has launched #OurWorldWithout to showcase the creative industries and highlight what ‘Our World Without’ culture or creativity would be like. Find out more about how you can get involved here.
