Richard has been a successful, working photographer for nearly 30 years. He has won multiple national and international awards for his work and now shoots throughout the world for a diverse selection of advertising agencies, magazines and private clients. Richard believes that promoting your business effectively is as important as your photography itself. Good marketing is the key to a successful long term photographic business. It is a combination between Science, Art and Magic. Marketing is Alchemy! This is a step by step guide to help you ensure the long term success of your business.

Richard currently runs three photographic businesses from his studio in West London as well as offering seminars for photographers and writing regularly for several photographic magazines. He also offers a private business advise service to individual photographers.

The Singh Project - the importance of projects, Amit and Naroop

The turban and the beard are the most powerful and obvious symbols of the identity of a Sikh man. The Singh Project is a celebration of that identity. Photographed by Amit and Naroop in their studio over a period of a year and a half, the men who feature in this project are businessmen, boxers, IT professionals, doctors, fashion stylists, templevolunteers, magicians and a host of other occupations, all adapting and interpreting the Sikh traditions in their own way. The project gained huge international press. 

Amit and Naroop discussed how to develop, fund and execute successful personal work, including using Kick Starter.
