Michael specialises in advertising, portrait & editorial photography for institutional & individual clients across the entertainment industries.
Film distribution and theatre companies, entertainment PR & marketing agencies, theatres, producers, actors, performers, comedians and musicians trust me to tell the story of their film, show, related ad campaign or career with bold, striking imagery that balances narrative with visual impact.
Drawing on a performance background that informs my work with actors in the stills medium, I run a busy studio out of Waterloo, SE1, and have worked all over the the UK for clients including The National Theatre, Kaleidoscope Film Distribution, First Family Entertainment, The Watermill Theatre, Samuel French Publishers, WM Norton, Penguin Random House, Picturehouse Cinemas, and the Luna Cinema, as well as numerous independent producers and performers.
I read English at Merton College, Oxford, trained as an actor at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, and retrained as a photographer at Photofusion in Brixton in 2008. I have worked as a photographer for five years, and alongside proud membership of the AOP, am a qualified Associate of the BIPP.
