Photographer Overview
David Clerihew moved to London in 1996 after graduating from Duncan of Jordonstone College of Art at Dundee University with a BA Hons in Fine Art. After working as an assistant in London for a few years he soon started shooting campaigns for a range of high profile clients including BMW, Microsoft and Sony.
Clerihew is passionate about sport, and by 2005 began to focus on sport brand campaigns and portraiture. He is in demand around the globe and travels regularly to shoot elite athletes for major brands including Nike, Adidas and Puma. For the past five years he has also started to work in moving image; his clients keen to see his emotive and powerful stills translated into film.
In addition to a busy commissioning schedule, Clerihew has a growing body of personal projects. His beautiful series Americans documents and catalogues the incredible diversity of the American populace. In 2012 his landscapes and portraits were included in exhibitions at the Royal Academy and National Portrait Gallery.
