Photographer Overview

Tina Korhonen, or Tina K, is a freelance portrait, music and editorial photographer with over 15 years of experience. She is best known for her work with rockstars like Kiss, Motorhead’s Lemmy, My Chemical Romance and Bonnie Tyler, but but her experience and expertise include many other areas from documenting music world to corporate headshots. Tina’s photography has been described as colourful, eye-catching, and vivid, both in style and subject matter.

Tina’s inspiration comes from all things weird and wonderful, but she executes her work with a professional high-end look created with her unique mastering of lighting. This is essential in creating sleek and flattering portraits that stand out. Her work has been used in numerous publications including Classic Rock, Metal Hammer, Kerrang, NME, Observer Music Monthly and Rolling Stone. To date Tina has had eight photographic exhibitions in the UK, France and Finland, including a five month long exhibition at Gibson Guitars’ showroom in London’s West End in 2016.

Aside from her main work behind the camera, Tina has been a critic and a guest columnist in Practical Photography magazine. She has also held workshops and given talks to photographers and photography students about her work and career. In 2018 she was nominated for Hundred Heroines campaign, and for Best Photographer at Heavy Music Awards. Tina is represented by Female Perspective agency.
