The AOP Student Awards 2015
The AOP Student Awards are open to all students studying a recognised National Qualification, approved by QCA (Qualifications and Curriculum Authority) and are a fantastic springboard into the world of professional photography.
This years Awards saw a great deal of talent enter the competition, take a look at our finalists' gallery below to view the finalists, Best in Categories & the overall Best in Show. There were four categories this year, with accompanying Briefs set set by leading professional photographers; Tim Flach; Richard Maxted; George Logan; and Wendy Carrig.
London prolab, art printer and AOP Student Awards partner theprintspace will hosted the winners' ceremony party and finalists' exhibition at theprintspace gallery in Hoxton on the 30th July 2015, giving finalists and winners great exposure.

You can submit unlimited entries, across the following four categories, you must however only submit the same image once.

1 - Social Media: Animal Conservation
Create an image of an animal for use on social media for an organisation involved in animal conservation or rescue. To read the Briefs in full, please click here.
2 - Product Shots: Sense
Photograph props (clothes, shoes, books, records, etc) from a “Sense” store. Your aim is to surprise the viewer when they learn that the props came from a charity shop.

3 - Brand Image: Charity

4 - Sunday Supplement Cover
Photograph a sitter of your choice, for the front cover of a Sunday newspaper weekend magazine. To read the Briefs in full, please click here.
Dates and Deadlines
Entries opened on Monday 23rd February and closed at 1.00pm Wednesday 13th May 2015.

The overall winner will receive:
- One days free studio hire, including professional lighting at Holborn Studios.
- One year's free Open Membership
- VIP tickets to the 32nd AOP Awards Ceremony Party in October 2015.
- Hire of a Phase One IQ250 Camera system for a 3 day project or job
- A day shadowing photographer Philip Haynes.
