Photobooks: Publish and be seen!
AUB Photography Seminar @ The Photographers’ Gallery

Speakers Spencer Murphy & Martin Usborne (Hoxton Mini Press).
Introduced by Prof. Paul Wenham-Clarke

22nd Fri Feb 2019, 14.00 – 17.00

Photobooks are notoriously expensive to produce and it can be very hard to find a publisher that is willing to risk time and money on your dream project. However, the advantages of working with one are great, invalidates the work, raises the photographers’ profile, and most importantly leads to wider distribution to the photographic community and beyond.

In the seminar, Taylor-Wessing winner Spencer Murphy will describe the production of his Urban Dirt Bikersproject and how with the help of Martin Usborne of Hoxton Mini Press they created a stunning Photobook. Martin is unusual, as he is an internationally recognised fine art photographer in his own right and also the co-founder of Hoxton Mini Press. Together they will discuss the importance of editing, layout, quality, distribution and marketing.
