Photographer Overview

Spring 2024 update

News: New Book publication sheet announced. Launch Photofusion June 2024

https://www.accartbooks.com/uk/book/glastonbury/

I shoot images in a natural style for clients in the corporate, business, and financial sectors mainly, working with designers and AD's to produce deliverable creative interpretations of briefs. I always aim to shoot images that represent the client's objectives clearly and simply with visual flair.

I am now shooting on my Irish passport, so able to work in Europe. Please do get in touch if you have specific needs in that Economic area. I also have ESTA and can obtain shoot clearance and Carnet for the US, I can handle the shoots post briefing and am experienced enough to do shoots sans AD if required.

My experience gives me the confidence to work in a wide range of contexts, from the boardroom to the Industrial plant, in most territories, as well the people skills to be able to get good shots out of any situation.
Please get in touch if you have a project you would like me to quote on or just a coffee and team presentation.

Testimonials

"I recently worked with Liam on an executive committee shoot for BBC Worldwide (the commercial arm of the BBC).
Our plan was to use various locations within their newly refurbished Television Centre office to photograph all 12 of the executive committee. Liam was instrumental in planning of the shoot, advising on the best locations and coming up with lots of ideas on how best to use their colourful and bustling workspace.

On the day of the shoot, Liam took control: as time was tight he really impressed with his ability to make each member of the committee feel totally at ease and he got the job done with good humour, speed and energy. The end result was a set of images that showed a dynamic executive committee - I know for a fact that the client was absolutely over the moon with the photos. To sum up, it was a pleasure to work with Liam, he was full of ideas and did a fantastic job. Nice one Liam." Steve Hickson - Creative Director - then Merchant Cantos, now FleishmanHillard

"Anyone who has had to do a 'Board shoot' knows they are tricky at best. So when you are trying to do something a little more exciting than a team line up you need to be working with someone who knows what they are doing and can read the room. Happily, Liam is not only a stunning photographer but has the sense to prepare and time the sessions so you get the shot in a stress free and efficient manner." Peter Chodel - Executive Creative Director, Addison

"Liam is a pleasure to work with. He responds well to a brief but importantly adds in his own artistic flair and personality which is much needed in shoots. I was very impressed with the number and quality of high standard and useable images he took through the two photo shoots I have commissioned him for. Liam has a great personality, making the client and the person he is shooting very at ease. Nothing phased Liam and he adapted well to shooting in the locations we had. I would have no hesitation in commissioning Liam for future photoshoots."
Lynn Jones, Art Director, Wardour Publishing

To describe Liam Bailey I would use the term 'consummate professional’. He is complete in every detail of his work. He listens to the brief then helps you develop and improve upon it.

His shoots are very well managed and his interaction with the client and subject make for a highly creative, inclusive and ultimately rewarding process.
Composition, light, clarity – the results are always brilliant. 10/10." Scott Poulson – Design Director, Special Design Studio

"We have engaged Liam’s services for a few years now, and he consistently demonstrates a strong understanding of the various briefs we give him. His relaxed sense of humour and laid back approach help him build rapport with all our staff, so we get a great shot of every member of the team, without exception. The last time, Liam was so efficient and ahead of time, he offered to take some amazing impromptu shots of the office space and team for us to use in other marketing projects. "

Alongside my commercial work, I shoot personal projects, some of which have generated exhibitions and books. I also have considerable experience of academic practice from both ends of the lecture hall, having gained an MA in Fine Art Photography from the London College of Communication (University of the Arts), London in 2006, as well as having taught a number of photography-related courses at post-graduate level, most recently as a Senior Associate Lecturer at the London College of Fashion. In addition, I'm committed to encouraging other people's interest in photography, and co-founded www.photocrowd.com, the growing social platform for photographers.
