INSTRUCTIONS

Members of the AOP receive discounted entry into the Open. Photographer and Assisting Photographer members are eligible to enter the Photography Categories, for more information on how to become a member please click here

For Stills

When you are ready to upload your image, press the Browse button on the Upload page to locate the image file on your computer. Once you have found the correct file, click on it and its name will appear in the 'Image file' box. You should now add a short description of the image into the 'Description' box, so it can be easily identified. This is purely for internal safety purposes, in case your image becomes detached from your entry. It will not be shown during judging. This description must be meaningful. For example, if you have a picture of a farmer in a field, please call it something like "Man in Field" rather than "John".

When everything is ready, press the 'Upload' button to send the picture to your entry area. Note that submission may take several moments depending on your connection speed.

As soon as your image is uploaded, you will be able to see all the images currently in your entries. You can use the 'Delete' button under each image to remove any unwanted entries before you submit. You can review all your entries by clicking on the Categories link at the top of the page.

When you have uploaded all images you wish to enter, click 'Pay & Submit' in the top right to begin the payment process.

Once this is completed you shall receive a confirmation email with your submission details.

For Moving Image

For identification purposes we need you to upload a still of your moving image entry. Please follow the instructions as above to upload, submit & pay for your moving image still. Once this has been completed you will receive a confimation email which will include a link to the Moving Image upload area, where you will be able to upload your .mp4 file. Specification information will be available on the upload page.

SIZE & FORMAT

• Images should be sRGB in JPEG format (Note: NOT AdobeRGB, as this does not display correctly in all web browsers)
• no larger than 1920 pixels wide by 1200 pixels high. 
• Your final file size must not exceed 3 megabytes.

OTHER USEFUL INFORMATION

• You may enter 3-4 images in a series
• You may only enter an image once across all categories
• The AOP are unable to advise which category to enter your images. Your choice of category will be respected; we will assume that an image is entered into a particular category because that is the context you wish it to be viewed in. 
• Once images are submitted, the AOP is unable to change anything i.e. move images from category to category.
